I have created a 3-Dimensional face sculpture, it is a concept sculpture, which is fully interactive with the viewer, telecommuting through smartphone face-time. Up-close or at a very long distance, all in real-time… in this movie clip we are doing face-time in real-time, where I’m in San Jose and the other person is in Palo Alto in actual communication. 3-D Face Sculpture was created with advanced materials, it is a passive device. The technology doesn’t involve electronic hardware or software, and it therefore doesn’t require its own source of power, and best of all, not even ON/OFF switch. All you do is place your cell phone inside and it’s ON, it’s that simple.

While strolling in my local park by a stream, it was rather overcast and gray. The colorful leaves were falling of the trees in to a stream… And then at the right moment, the sun came bursting through the clouds and trees, all in a brilliant shaft of light illuminating a segment of the stream that highlighted a submerged decaying leaf... while enhancing the shimmering dancing highlights of the rhythmically moving water… I got my pocket camera out and took a picture… hopefully seizing the essence of that perceptible magical moment… On my way home I thought… if only I could cutout this segment of the decaying leaf with the shimmering dancing highlights of the rhythmically moving water… then taking it home with me... I was inspired by this experience and decided to challenge myself to recreate that visual representation of the experienced moment, and perhaps enjoy this lasting impression at home every day on… The Kinetic Leaves Water Sculpture works with 36 different color LED lights that can be controlled with a remote-control, in order to enhance the tiny babbles movement flow, it is a passive mood and ambiance sculpture.
